Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 hasn’t even arrived yet, but Epic Games has already worked out what the second major update for it will involve. The 29.50 update was the most recent to Chapter 5 Season 2, and Epic officially began playtesting the 30.20 update. The devs are always planning ahead, and they’re already working out the features in something that won’t come out probably for almost a month.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 shouldn’t have any more major updates, as everything is planned and ready for the end of the season which happens in about 12 days (May 24). Once it drops, there are two major updates already staged: 30.10 and 30.20. Those will likely come about two or three weeks following the onset of the new season. Based on the roadmap that leaker HYPEX has seen, there are two pretty significant additions coming in that update. One will be for Battle Royale and the other will come to LEGO Fortnite.
A Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration has reportedly been staged for the 30.20 update. This will more than likely include a Jack Sparrow skin, a sword pickaxe, and backbling, as well as other characters of the franchise. It’s unclear what Epic is aiming for here, as it’s been seven years since the last movie in the series was released. There is a reported reboot on the way, but that won’t take place for several more years as well. Nevertheless, Epic has been on a run of successful collaborations, and this figures to be another example.
The final aspect of the Fortnite leaks that is currently known is the LEGO Klombo update. Klombo was a creature introduced all the way back in Chapter 3 Season 1. They were capable of eating berries and producing weapons as well as launching players in the air. It is likely they will play the same role in the LEGO Worlds’ players start-up. As for the rest of the update, there’s undoubtedly more planned. Potential map changes, more skins, new weapons, and more could all be on the way. Epic is getting an early start on the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 updates.
