After nearly five years, one of the rarest Fortnite skins has just returned to the game. Sometimes, outfits go away and don’t come back for a very long time. They often reach multiple years between appearances, making them extremely rare.
When those skins do come back, they’re often some of the most popular. Everyone who missed the first chance to get it sprints to get it this time. It removes the rarity, but it does work wonders for Epic Games. That could be what happens with the Psycho Bandit now that it’s back.

If you go to the Item Shop right now, you’ll see the Ninja DC skins, Victory Vibes Icon emotes, Fox & Rabbit Bundle, Andromeda, TMNT, Pirates of the Caribbean, and so much more. Right at the top of the shop, though, is the Psycho Bandit from Borderlands.
The skin has finally returned to the Item Shop. It had been 1,794 days since the last shop appearance, making it nearly five full years between appearances. Hardly ever is a skin gone that long, but the Borderlands crossover was absent for so long.
This rare skin comes in a bundle with Claptrap as a back bling and the Psycho Buzz Axes. All told, it costs 2,000 V-Bucks. There is no way to buy the skin individually. That does make it one of the most expensive, but it’s currently one of the rarest skins in the game.
Now that the Borderlands crossover is back, it’s no longer the most elusive Gaming Legends skin. That honor now belongs to Kratos, who has been out of the shop for 1,502 days. There was a leak recently that said it was supposed to have returned in the last couple of years, but it never did.
It and the Arcane skins remain some of the rarest collaborations in the game, and there’s no telling if or when they’ll return like the Psycho Bandit.
