All About the Rubius Skin in Fortnite
Recently, leakers teased a brand new Icon Series skin, and Fortnite finally added the Rubius skin to fulfill that leak. El Rubius is a popular Spanish player who makes content around the game, and Epic Games decided to give him an Icon outfit. He joins the likes of Ninja, Lazarbeam, SypherPK, and other content creators who have been given a skin over the years. Here’s everything you need to know about the new outfit.

How to Get Rubius Skin Fortnite
Fortnite is going to allow some players to get the El Rubius skin for free. They will host a cup for players to take part in on September 21st. Other rewards will be given away. However, players can unlock a new skin for free, which is the major draw for an event like this. Epic has hosted similar events for the J Balvin skin, Gamora, Wonder Woman, and many others in the past.
For those who either don’t participate or do not do well enough to win the skin, it will eventually land in the Item Shop. It is expected to drop on September 25th and be available within a bundle for 2,400 V-Bucks. The skin has two variants, one of which is cat-like. The bundle comes with a pickaxe, loading screen, back bling, emote, and a LEGO variant for the skin.
The Rubius skin isn’t the only cosmetic in Fortnite, though. There are others, and Spanish players could have gotten their hands on the emoticon and others for free. Epic Games gave away some cosmetics during a Twitch stream that was exclusive to viewers in Spain. Leaker HYPEX revealed that there were limited rewards for those who attended the live stream on September 15. That has since ended, though.
It is unclear how long the skin will last in the Item Shop once it lands there. However, that will be the second opportunity for players to get Rubius, though only a few will play well enough in the tournament to actually unlock it four days early. This is one of a few big Fortnite collaborations that Epic Games has coming in the near future.
When will it leave the item shop?
