Epic Games could restore lost feature for Fortnite V-Bucks

If you’re short on Fortnite V-Bucks, you usually have limited options to earn them. There are some available for free every season, but to get them right away and in a decent amount, you have to buy them. To that end, there aren’t that many options for the amount anymore.

The lowest amount is 1,000 V-Bucks. There are sometimes starter packs with usually 600, but that’s the only other option. If you wanted to buy something for 1,200 V-Bucks and you had 1,000, you’d likely have to spend more than you want to get the right amount. That could be changing soon, though.

Fortnite V-Bucks Sales Might Change

According to ShiinaBR, Epic Games is considering adding the reload Fortnite V-Bucks feature. This used to be part of the game but has gone away. This gave players the option to buy a much smaller amount of the in-game currency, mostly to allow them to purchase the individual item they wanted.

ShiinaBR’s screenshot showed a player needing 250, so Epic offered the chance to purchase 300 instead of 1,000. That cost about $3 instead of $9.

Per the leak, data has been updated in the game files to this end. That doesn’t guarantee that this change will come back, but it does have a strong possibility. Obviously, Epic Games is looking into tweaking V-Bucks to further improve the purchasing process for gamers.

This may or may not be related, but it does come shortly after the gaming company was forced to pay players as a result of the FTC lawsuit. The FTC alleged years ago that Epic had been predatory with V-Bucks selling, and they just paid out everyone who was a victim or involved in the class-action lawsuit.

Now, it looks like Epic is going to make it even more straightforward to buy the currency from now on. This is a leak, so take the information with a grain of salt. However, it does appear that changes are on the way. You can use V-Bucks to buy skins like the incoming Hatsune Miku.
