According to the latest leaks, Fortnite x Blade Runner could be one of the next major collaborations coming to the game. Epic Games has added so many seemingly unrelated or surprising brands to the metaverse over the years that even an R-rated sci-fi franchise that began in the 1980s and had a sequel eight years ago isn’t totally out of the ordinary. Here’s what we know about the possible newest sci-fi collaboration.

HYPEX, one of the most renowned and accurate leakers in the Fortnite community, revealed that a Blade Runner collaboration is rumored to be in the works. They and other leakers have uncovered details they believe point to a crossover with the sci-fi franchise.
This would not be the first classic sci-fi franchise from Ridley Scott to enter the metaverse. Scott created Blade Runner in 1982. Denis Villeneuve took it over in 2017 and made Blade Runner 2049. Alien was the first Scott project to make it to Fortnite. Ellen Ripley and the Xenomorph both have popular Fortnite skins.
Epic has been adding a lot of collaborations lately. Epic Games just added the Monsterverse, including Kaiju No. 8. Hatsune Miku arrived as well. These are just two of the countless crossovers in the game as of late.
The leak doesn’t give a timeline. We don’t know when (or if) Blade Runner is coming to Fortnite. Based on the image shared by the original leaker, 2049 skins seem more likely. It’s also the more recent movie, which only makes more sense. Officer K, played by Ryan Gosling, is a frontrunner to be added. Harrison Ford’s Rick Decker makes a lot of sense, too.
Leaks have accurately predicted the Miku collab and others recently, but they’re still leaks. Until Epic confirms the Blade Runner crossover or it lands in the Item Shop or Battle Pass, this is all speculative.
