Epic Games Working to Alleviate Fortnite XP Issues

The Fortnite XP issues could be alleviated soon. Players have complained since Chapter 5 Season 3 began that it’s been very difficult to level up.

Some changes Epic Games implemented have limited the ability to level up quickly, thus preventing them from earning top battle pass skins immediately. Every season is a grind, especially when there are rewards up to level 200. Players who complained about this season in particular being a grind may get some relief soon.

Fortnite XP Issues Could Be Solved Soon

According to leaker HYPEX, a big change is coming to challenges and XP. Epic Games is reportedly working on allowing some challenges to be completed in Creative maps.

Players often run into trouble when they try to play solely to complete challenges. They may need to search chests in a specific named location, and they can’t get anywhere because the POI is full of players who eliminate them immediately. This leads to understandable frustration and a lack of Fortnite XP, making it even harder to level up and get the best skins and cosmetics.

This would only be certain challenges, though. Creative maps likely won’t allow players to finish elimination challenges, for example. They may, on the other hand, be able to do challenges for driving certain distances or emoting at different spots. It will be up to Epic’s discretion what challenges can be done, but it will give players more opportunities and more ease in completing them. This will ultimately drive the XP gain up for a lot of players.

The leak didn’t mention a timetable for this addition, but it’s likely coming soon. Given how many complaints have been leveled about the season’s leveling process, it would be in Epic’s best interest to address it now rather than in Chapter 5 Season 4. It’s still a leak, so it is not confirmed. Until it arrives in the game, it’s strictly a rumor and you will need to continue grinding for now.
