It’s always a hit with players, too, and it figures to be once again this year. Leaks and rumors have been flying in over the last few weeks, including the release date. Fortnitemares Release Date Pushed Up

Fortnitemares 2024 was initially supposed to begin on October 15. The full month of October is certainly “spooky season”, but only part of it has a dedicated event on Fortnite.

However, ahead of that release date, Epic has moved the date to October 11. They are giving players four full days extra to enjoy the event. It will still run through the end of the month and right into the second OG season for Fortnite (Chapter 2), but there is some extra time at the beginning now according to leaker ShiinaBR.

The event already has plenty planned in the form of skins. Marvel’s Mephisto, which is essentially the comic universe’s devil, is coming to Fortnite. Billy the Puppet from Jigsaw has been teased many times, including by Epic Games themselves and is currently available in the Item Shop. It will likely stick around for the majority of the event. Lexa Hexbringer and Leatherface are also reportedly on the way.

Friday’s update is expected to introduce a Saw mythic item to the loot pool as well. Horde Rush LTM is coming back for Fortnitemares, too. LEGO Fortnite will get a mini event pass for Halloween as well. The map will suddenly be Halloween-themed with some new landmarks to commemorate the time.

In just two days, the event will officially kick off and Fortnite will look very different for the Halloween season.
