The new Astro Slide Fortnite Emote, which is technically called Point and Strut, has taken the gaming community by storm. It’s just the latest in a series of awesome Icon Series emotes that take popular songs and put dances to them. Other examples are the recent Smooth Slide, Blinding Lights, Popular Vibe, Get Griddy, Lo-Fi Headbang, and so much more. Sometimes, the songs have words playing with the emote, and other times they do not. Point and Strut is an example of the latter.

The popular emote is currently available in the Item Shop. It was released when the Item Shop changed on June 1 at 8 pm EST. It has only been in the shop once, and while it’s very likely staying a while, it could go away by 8 pm EST on June 2. There was a recent leak that suggested cosmetics would eventually get an exit date in the description. This would let players know exactly how long they had to get an emote before it left. Unfortunately, that has not taken effect yet.
Therefore, it’s best to act now. It’s rare for anything to get just a single day in the shop, but tomorrow is not guaranteed. It costs 500 V-Bucks, just like most Icon Series skins. Head over to the Item Shop tab of Fortnite right now and purchase it if you have the V-Bucks to spend. If not, try grinding some levels to earn more before 8 pm EST to purchase the cosmetic.
The Astro Slide dance was a popular TikTok trend for a while, which is true of a lot of Fortnite emotes. They largely originated somewhere before the game, and TikTok is full of dances to music. The music for this particular dance was largely just for the trend itself, as the song is MEGA FUNK MONTAGEM MYSTERIOUS GAME on Apple Music, so it’s not really a track people listen to that often.
Fortnite is always adding more Icon Series emotes, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. There may be an emote just like the Astro Slide Fortnite emote in the future with an awesome dance and fun music!
