PAYDAY Game Franchise Eyes Fortnite Collaboration

Sometime in the future, there may be a PAYDAY x Fortnite crossover. The hit video game series is a long-running shooter franchise that has some heist elements. That would make it an ideal collaboration for the next season of Fortnite.

Chapter 6 Season 2 will be heist and crime-themed, and it is obviously still a shooter game of sorts. However, the possible collaboration doesn’t come from a leak. Instead, it comes from the game franchise seemingly seeking out a partnership with Epic Games.

Fortnite x PAYDAY Desired by Game Franchise

According to prominent leaker ShiinaBR, the PAYDAY franchise’s official X account has interacted with a Fortnite tweet. Fortnite posted a teaser for Chapter 6 Season 2, asking characters to step up and be identified for possible crimes. The PAYDAY account quote tweeted it and shared a picture of one of the game’s characters, saying they “have someone who knows this all too well.”

Much of the Chapter 6 Season 2 battle pass has leaked, and so many characters have already been revealed. It would be a surprise if this crossover was part of the season. In fact, it remains to be seen if this is a crossover at all. The game franchise clearly wants to, as ShiinaBR mentioned that this is not the first time they’ve interacted with Fortnite.

It remains to be seen if Epic Games has contacted them or if they have any desire to add the game to Fortnite. It is clear, however, that this is something that PAYDAY wants. The franchise began in 2011 and has since received a few sequels, but it’s not as prominent today.

PAYDAY would join tons of other video games that have been added to the ever-growing metaverse. God of War, Among Us, Tomb Raider, Metal Gear, Halo, Street Fighter, DOOM, Borderlands, The Witcher, and so many others are existing franchises that were at one time added to Fortnite. Yakuza was also leaked as a possible addition to the Gaming Legends series.
