All Baldur’s Gate 3 romance options, ranked
Throughout Baldur’s Gate 3, the game offers multiple romance options that you can choose to pursue. Some are long-term relationships that span the course of Baldur’s Gate 3, while others are just one-time flings. We’re ranking all of the Baldur’s Gate 3 romance options, so you know who’s worth your time throughout the game!
13. Naoise Nallinto

Naoise isn’t a Baldur’s Gate 3 romance in the traditional sense. After saving her from a mind flayer in Sharess’ Caress, she’ll offer you an unforgettable experience, where two minds become one. It counts, but it’s definitely bottom of our list.
12. Wyll

Wyll‘s romance in Baldur’s Gate 3 is a slow burn, but sadly, it fails to pay off in a particularly interesting manner. The Blade of Frontiers just doesn’t have as much character progression as his counterparts during his romance, meaning we’d even take some of the game’s one-night stands before Wyll.
11. The Emperor

Lore-wise, romancing the Emperor is as messy as it gets. During Act 3, he propositions you with a good time, and you have a choice to make. If you say yes, he will offer to turn into his Guardian form. But let’s be real – if you’re romancing the Emperor, you’re sleeping with the squidman. Your companions never mention this Baldur’s Gate 3 romance, and it’s probably for the best.
10. Mizora

If you choose Mizora as your Baldur’s Gate 3 romance, you just want to watch the world burn. When she approaches you offering “pleasures beyond this plane,” it’s difficult to say no. But romancing Wyll’s tormentor can have dire consequences for your other long-term romance partners. You must decide if one night of fun is worth the fallout.
9. Haarlep

Haarlep‘s romance in Baldur’s Gate 3 comes with stipulations. Sleep with him, and you’ll get useful information in the House of Hope. However, he’ll have your body for good, to use for his pleasure at any moment. It’s a choice that comes back to haunt you later in the game, so choose carefully.
8. Minthara

If you want the steamiest Baldur’s Gate 3 romance scene, sleep with Minthara after destroying the Tieflings refugee camp in Act 1. That scene alone bumps Minthara up a few places on this list. However, beyond that, she’s not too interesting as a romantic partner. Minthara is already one of the least developed party members in Baldur’s Gate 3, and that shows in the romance.
7. The Drow Twins

The Drow Twins can be found at Sharess’ Caress, where you and your partner can hire a night of passion with the duo. Hell, even Halsin can come along to make a party of five. You won’t see any of the fun, but some of the dialogue throughout the whole encounter is some of the funniest in the whole game. Definitely worth trying during your playthrough.
6. Gale

Get yourself a man who chooses you over becoming an actual god – that’s Gale.
5. Halsin

Be honest – you just wanted to see the bear scene, didn’t you? Halsin‘s Baldur’s Gate 3 romance certainly has the shock factor, but he has a soft side to discover, too.
4. Karlach

There’s no one quite like Karlach. This Baldur’s Gate 3 romance begins with the player unable to touch Karlach thanks to her infernal engine, giving it one of the best payoffs of any option.
3. Lae’zel

Affectionately called Bae’zel by the Baldur’s Gate 3 community, Lae’zel‘s romance is one of personal growth. What begins as some raunchy fun progresses slowly to a deep emotional connection for one of the best companions in Baldur’s Gate 3.
2. Shadowheart

“I can fix her.” Shadowheart just needs a push in the right direction to find her meaning, and her romance is among the very best. Choose Shadowheart for one of the sweetest romances in Baldur’s Gate 3.
1. Astarion

Last but certainly not least is Astarion. A character with many layers to peel away, Astarion’s romance in Baldur’s Gate 3 rewards players for delving deep into the Vampire’s past. It even has the potential to take a darker turn if you let Astarion ascend.
