It took FromSoftware’s iconic Soulslike formula, and evolved it into a massively impressive RPG package. Now two years on from release, players want even more content from the game. Over two years after the initial launch of Elden Ring, FromSoftware is set to launch Shadow of the Erdtree, the game’s first large expansion. But what exactly is the Elden Ring DLC release date? Shadow of the Erdtree is set to launch on June 21st, 2024, bringing an enormous amount of new content to Elden Ring.
On the Elden Ring DLC release date, gamers will be able to grab Shadow of the Erdtree on all platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It promises to be a grand adventure, with new quests, weapons, and enemies to face.

At this point, it seems unlikely that we’ll be seeing more Elden Ring DLC in the future. Shadow of the Erdtree already feels like a late launch, considering how long the game has been released. As recently as February, the game’s director, Hidetaka Miyazaki, confirmed that there are no plans for another Elden Ring DLC release post-Shadow of the Erdtree.
