When is the FFXIV: Dawntrail Release Date?

With anticipation reaching a fever pitch, the FFXIV: Dawntrail release date is just around the corner. The latest expansion to the critically acclaimed and hugely popular MMO by Square Enix releases just next month, and players are hyped up.

When Does FFXIV Dawntrail Release?

The latest expansion for FFXIV, Dawntrail, releases on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. The fifth expansion to the legendary Final Fantasy MMO, Dawntrail will take players to the mysterious continent of Tural, as they seek new adventures.

However, if you pre-order Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, you’ll likely have early access to the game, making the release date a little different.

When does FFXIV: Dawntrail Early Access begin?

If you do have early access to FFXIV: Dawntrail, your early access release date is June 28, 2024 at 2:00 am (PDT). This will give you complete access to the entirety of the Dawntrail experience, just a few days before everyone else. 

How to pre-order?

You can pre-order FFXIV Dawntrail and get access to early access either through the Square Enix store, Steam, or other online retailers. Some participating physical retailers are offering pre-orders, but for the best results, we recommend pre-ordering online.

All pre-orders will receive the following items ahead of the release: 

  • Wind-up Zidane Minion: A cute minion version of the FFIX protagonist, Zidane.
  • Azeyma’s Earrings: Earrings that boost you EXP gain by 30% while defeating enemies at level 90 and below. Perfect for levelling up jobs before the release of Dawntrail, or catching you Viper or Pictomancer up to story levels!
