With the release of FFXIV Dawntrail, dozens of new mounts and minions were added, ready for players to unlock, including the new Oppressor Mount. A shrunken and squashed version of the mighty Oppressor boss from the Alexander series of raids, the Oppressor Mount is tied to the latest series of PvP.
But how exactly do you unlock it? Here’s how to unlock the Oppressor Mount in FFXIV Dawntrail.
The Oppressor Mount is the reward for reaching Level 25 on PvP Series 6. That means leveling up your series and unlocking the Oppressor Identification Key via the PvP Series Rewards menu. This can be accessed by clicking the option on your PvP profile.

To earn enough Series Experience to level up, you can take part in Frontline, Crystalline Conflict, and Rival Wings for gaining experience. While you don’t have to emerge victorious in each mode to gain Series Experience, winning generates more total exp.
Additionally, while you level up, you’re rewarded 1,000 Trophy Crystals for every level between items. These can then be quickly exchanged to the Crystal Quartermaster at The Wolves’ Den Pier (X: 4.4, Y: 6.1) for even more rewards.

Mounts are, of course, different to minions and they’re spread out across all Dawntrail zones. While the Oppressor was originally a boss from the Alexander series of raids, its perhaps more commonly known as one of the pilotable vehicles in PvP mode Rival Wings. A ranged siege engine, the Oppressors in that mode are vital for steering your team to victory. And if you play enough Rival Wings matches now, you can unlock your very own Oppressor!
