If you let yourself get hit a lot by Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame, you’re in for a world of hurt. This is why we’d recommend bringing a Talisman such as Erdtree’s Favor +2 or a Great Rune such as Radahn’s Great Rune from the base game, both of which are useful for increasing your maximum HP.
Back up at the very start of this fight, as it’s easy to get quickly blindsided into a swift grave. His phase one is extremely simple. However, in phase two, you must be aware of his huge area-of-effect attack, which is extremely difficult to avoid.
For attacks, we’d recommend taking a melee approach here. Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame’s melee attack patterns are pretty simple to learn and dodge, but their ranged attacks are the opposite. You just need to get up close and personal, with a weapon that allows plenty of hits in quick succession. If you’re not staying close to the boss, you’ll likely die an awful lot.
