With Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree now here, we wanted to revisit one of the Talismans you can find in the base game: Erdtree’s Favor.
This Talisman provides some important buffs that could prove useful when fighting the new bosses in Shadow of the Erdtree, so we thought we’d show you exactly how to get Erdtree’s Favor in Elden Ring.
Erdtree’s Favor is a powerful Talisman in Elden Ring. This means that you can equip it to receive a buff to several abilities at once. However, Erdtree’s Favor also comes in +1 and +2 variants, which are even more powerful than the base option. These are all the effects of every version of the Talisman:
As you can see, there’s a substantial jump in the buffs between each version, so it’s worth seeking out the more powerful iterations if you can!
As discussed, there are a few different versions of Erdtree’s Favor to find in Elden Ring. Each one can be found in a different location from the last, so we’ve got the guide for all three versions below.
To get the base version of Erdtree’s Favor in Elden Ring, you need to loot it from an altar in Fringefolk Hero’s Grave. Once you drop down the platform at the bridge area, you need to head past the fire trap. You’ll be met with another bridge to cross before the altar – just be aware of the two Grafted Scions that attack as you cross.
Finding Erdtree’s Favor +1 is actually really simple. After you defeat Mohg, the Omen in the Cathedral of the Forsaken, you’ll have the opportunity to loot the room. Erdtree’s Favor +1 is in a chest in this very same room, so just make sure you pick it up before you leave.
After you’ve defeated Maliketh, the Black Blade, you’ll be able to loot Erdtree’s Favor +2 from a corpse in Leyndell, Ashen Capital. From the Grand Lift of Rold, head west until you reach a set of staircases. Go down, then move south through the area covered in ash. You’ll find the corpse atop a tree branch.
