Crossplay is an online functionality that allows players from different platforms to interact and play with each other. Cross-platform games on PCs, mobile devices and consoles such as PlayStation or Xbox.

Does Valheim support crossplay?

Among the many titles available in the video game industry, Valheim stands out for its effective and successful implementation of crossplay. Since its launch three years ago, PC users have been able to adventure in the company of other vast gaming realms.

Valheim can unite players from all platforms (PC, PlayStation, Xbox and mobile devices) through cloud technology. In this way, these fans can explore, build and take on challenges together in the Norse world.

How do I enable or disable Crossplay in the Valheim game?

When you first start the Valheim game, it asks if you want to enable Crossplay, so you can set it up from the very first moment. In case you didn’t, and wish to change your settings, you can do so by following the step-by-step procedure below:

Log in to your Valheim game and account.
Go to the main menu and select the preferences option. There you can indicate whether you play on a PC, mobile device or console (PlayStation or Xbox).
Then you can locate and select the “Yes” option in the”Crossplay”section.

Is cross-progression in Valheim?

Just because a game has crossplay doesn’t necessarily mean it has cross progression. Unfortunately, Valheim does have cross-progression. In this way, the progress made by any player will be saved in the cloud.

This means that you only need to access your world and inventory from any compatible platform to pick up where you left off. This feature certainly makes it easier to transition between teams and encourages a smoother and more collaborative gaming experience between users playing from different platforms.

Why is it advisable to have crossplay active in Valheim?
