Popular Twitch streamer Nicholas “Jynxzi” Stewart has hit out at Clash Royale developer Supercell, accusing the studio of a “spit in the face” after failing to acknowledge his role in the game’s recent resurgence.

Jynxzi is one of the most popular streamers in the world, and every time he dives deep into a game, his audience follows. He brought Rainbow Six Siege to the forefront, made a vast number of players return to Rocket League and, again, was instrumental in driving viewers to Clash Royale.

Why Is Jynxzi Criticizing Supercell?

The backlash started after Supercell published a “historic year” recap celebrating Clash Royale’s turnaround. The blog post focused heavily on internal decisions — updates, balance changes, live ops improvements — positioning 2025 as one of the strongest periods in the game’s lifecycle.

One thing it didn’t mention, however, was creators.

Shortly after the recap went live, Jynxzi posted on X: “Probably the biggest spit in the face I’ve ever seen.”

Jynxzi’s Impact on Clash Royale Viewership

During multiple stretches in 2024 and 2025, Jynxzi’s Clash Royale broadcasts were pulling huge numbers on Twitch. He wasn’t just playing the game — he was running community tournaments, reacting to updates, creating viral moments, and effectively turning the game into regular headline content again.

For many younger viewers, especially, Clash Royale re-entered the conversation when it suddenly appeared on their front page every night.

On stream following the recap, Jynxzi didn’t hold back. He argued that creators were a major reason the game regained cultural momentum, claiming the title had been struggling before its recent surge. The omission, in his view, wasn’t accidental — it felt dismissive.

Sketch publicly backed Jynxzi, saying he wouldn’t play the game until proper credit was given.

Other creators shared similar sentiment, arguing that live-service ecosystems now depend on influencer-driven visibility, whether studios acknowledge it or not.

Has Supercell Responded to Jynxzi?

Supercell’s statement simply framed the recovery as an internal success story, rather than give credit that Jynxzi and other creators feel are owed to them. In modern gaming, that distinction matters.

At the time of writing, Supercell have not responded to Jynxzi directly or addressed the backlash publicly.
