Marathon details

If you were a big fan of the Hell Divers game, then you may want to stick around and read about Marathon. As mentioned before, this is an extraction game, where you and up to three players will drop into a zone, collecting items, building up your gear to the best it can be, and surviving hordes of enemies. The PvP part comes into effect when you want to do special challenges, for instance, wiping out another team will allow you to steal all of their loot, getting more value out of the run.

Given that Bungie has worked on other popular franchises in the past, such as Halo and Destiny, fans should have faith that they are going to get the gunplay correct in Marathon, and based on the trailer below, they are going to achieve just that.

What is Marathon’s Scheduled Release Date?

Marathon is scheduled for release on September 23, 2025. Which means you’re going to have to wait a few months before you can get your hands on this one. At the time of writing this article, there has been no confirmation on whether the game is going to be released with early access for the fans.

Nor has it been confirmed that it will be released onto the Xbox Game Pass on day one, which is a common thing among some of the more anticipated titles. Keep an eye out for the game’s landing page on Steam to ensure the game is still going to be released at its intended time. Save the game to your wish list so that you won’t miss a notification from the application.

Platforms

At the time of writing this article, there are three places where Marathon will be released. Those are the current generation consoles and the PC. Unfortunately for gamers on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, you’re not going to be able to play this game unless you upgrade to the newer model of console. It has, however, been confirmed that gamers can play cross-platform, just like many other titles.

If we have piqued your interest, why don’t you check out this epic reveal trailer, showing off all of the amazing gunplay and challenges you’re going to have to do in Marathon:

No PVE = Quick death of game. A drastic amount of people prefer PVE these days me one of them. It will be nice to enjoy the game without unemployed people or man children playing non stop while we have a family to feed and bills to pay. The mode has saved Tarkov and Dark and Darker. Now I wait here eagerly for the sweaty pimple infested pvp Jockies to roast this comment.
