Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play hero shooter by NetEase Games. Since its launch in the closed beta, the game has become one of the most played on Steam. The game cycle for in-game updates is split into seasons. In this article, look at when season 2 of Marvel Rivals starts.

Since its launch, Marvel Rivals has averaged over 200,000 active players daily. A significant reason for this is the simple-to-understand gameplay and roster of characters. Within Marvel Rivals, seasons are a period within which the game releases new content. This can be in the form of new characters, game modes, and skins in the game.

Each season is slated to last for 3 months. In the middle of each season, there is a half-season update event that consists of significant changes to the game and a rank reset in the competitive game mode. Within the season, multiple patches balance certain heroes within the game. This can be through nerfs and buffs or various heroes’ skills.

Currently, Season 1 is live in Marvel Rivals. Within this season, we have already seen the release of all heroes from the Fantastic 4. We have also seen the release of multiple game modes, such as Clone Rumble and Clash of Dancing Lions. The map Empire of Eternal Night was also released during this season. Season 1 of Marvel Rivals began on January 10th. While there is no official end date for Marvel Rivals Season 1, the first-half update might have leaked the date.

The first half of the Marvel Rivals update (S 1.5) was live on Feb.21, 42 days after Jan 10. Thus, fans can expect the second half of season 1 to end in early April. Season 2 of Marvel Rivals should go live before April 15. According to reports within Season 2, we can see heroes like Deadpool, Professor X, and Ultron released within the game. It has been rumored that the theme for Season 2 will be around the Hellfire Gala, a major X-men event.
