Minecraft 1.21 Tricky Trials will be released on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Time-wise, the update will likely be released in the morning CEST time, meaning those in the US will likely wake up to find the update already released.

The update will automatically be downloaded if you’re using the Minecraft Launcher on PC, so no need to update. If you’re playing on a non-Realms multiplayer server, you may need to wait until the server owners update before you can enjoy the update.

What’s Included in the Minecraft 1.21 update?

The Minecraft 1.21 Tricky Trials update is set to include the brand new Trial Chambers, a randomly generating structure that challenges players to defeat dangerous new enemies. As a reward, Trial Chambers also include rewards such as armor, weapons, and new items like the Heavy Core to make the new Mace weapon.

Beyond this, 1.21 also adds the auto-crafting for the first time with the Crafter. The Crafter will allow players to automatically build items using Redstone contraptions. This is a revolutionary change to Minecraft that’s sure to change the way people play the game.

And, of course, there’s also dozens of new blocks being added, including new Tuff blocks and Copper block types which will offer hundreds of new opportunities to build and customize your existing worlds.

Overall, it’s a sizable update with a lot of features that you should definitely check out when it releases on June 13.
