Palworld Reveals Major Update and Collaboration with Terraria Coming This Summer
Pocket Pair, the developers of Palworld, have announced that the game will receive a major update this summer, entitled Tides of Terraria. The latest update to the embattled monster collector game with guns was revealed on May 13, via Social Media and updates on the game’s Steam page.
The update will seemingly add new Pals, a new set of villains, and, most importantly, a collaboration with open world sandbox adventure game, Terraria. This Palworld collaboration with Terraria was initially revealed late last year, but now the partnership has received a full unveiling.

Palworld Teams Up With Terraria for Summer Update
Palworld was a surprise hit in 2024 when it first released, giving players a more dark and controversial take on the monster collecting genre. But the often maligned “Pokémon with guns” game ran into trouble when it caught a lawsuit (still ongoing) from Nintendo and the Pokémon Company.
However, despite legal trouble, the game is still going strong, and this coming update shows that. In collaboration with Terraria, Palworld will seemingly receive new bosses, new Pals, and new elemental variants for existing Pals.

Since both Terraria and Palworld are survival crafting games, we also expect we’ll see some familiar Terraria recipes and materials turn up in Palworld.
Overall this looks like a great update for Palworld, which could definitely have gotten a little stale if you’re still playing it almost 18 months after release.

To celebrate the announcement, Palworld is current on sale on Steam as part of Creature Collector Fest, the latest Steam Sale to hit the platform. Palworld is one of the best Pokémon-like games we’ve ever played, and you should definitely take the chance to pick it up – especially with a new, free update on the way.
And while your at it, why not check out Terraria. The 2011 survival crafting adventure game is often described as “2D Minecraft,” but in reality is a much broader game in terms of itemization and combat. The boss fights in particular are a big selling point.
