How To Get More Spirit In Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2 has introduced a lot of new features and mechanics compared to the original PoE, and one of these is the new resource, Spirit. Spirit is a new resource that allows you to summon minions to the battlefield.

However, Spirit is pretty rare and hard to collect, especially in the earlier Acts. As a result, some players are wondering how to obtain Spirit, and even how to get more of it once you have any at all. Here’s our guide on how to get more spirit in PoE2.

How To Get More Spirit In PoE2

There are three main ways to get Spirit in PoE 2:

Defeat Bosses and advance through the Acts.
Equip Gear with Spirit Buffs which bypass Spirit requirements, such as Scepters.
Follow the Infernalist Ascendancy for the Witch Class.

Spirit can be obtained by picking up key items and defeating bosses during the game’s acts. This is the way most classes will obtain Spirit. Certain bosses will also permanently increase your maximum Spirit. As you level up and play through the Acts, your character will naturally gain Spirit. However, there’s no quick way to farm it. Scepters help, but they’re a build choice that limits your effectiveness elsewhere.

Spirit as a resource can be used by all classes, but it’s really the Witch who uses the most as the character summons more than any other. While Spirit is consumed by Summoned Monsters, Meta Gems, and Buffs. Summons seem to use more than any other though, with Skeletal Archers requiring almost 100 spirit for just a single archer.

There’s no way to increase Spirit with the Passive Skill Tree, unless you take the Infernalist Ascendancy for the Witch. Under the Infernalist tree, Bediat’s Will reserves a percentage of your life in exchange for an increase in your maximum Spirit.

Overall, it appears that Spirit has been balanced around preventing early-game characters from being able to summon hordes of monsters. As a result, it can be ineffective to use them over other powers early in the game. Instead, it could be useful to focus on other weapons and powers until you have well over 200 or more Spirit to make summoning effective.
