RuneScape: Dragonwilds Release Date
The officialrelease date is TBA. Instead of launching fully, RuneScape: Dragonwilds went into Early Access on April 15, 2025 and will continue to evolve based on community feedback. Jagex have said the full release is expected in early 2026 but that date may change.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds Details
Revealed on March 31, with an announcement article, Steam page, and trailer, RuneScape: Dragonwilds is the newest game from Jagex, the creators of RuneScape. However, the game will step away from the usual MMO format, and instead it will combine survival and crafting with the skill-based progression system RuneScape fans love—while offering gameplay elements that will feel familiar to fans of mobile survival games.

Alongside four friends, you’ll be able to explore the forgotten continent of Ashenfall, build structures, gain skills (just like RuneScape), and attempt to survive in a world where dragons return.
The end game will see you battle bosses, including the deadly Dragon Queen. The game can be played solo or with (up to 3) friends, and will feature unique crafting and building mechanics that remind players of the traditional RuneScape gameplay, but also will be familiar for veterans of the survival crafting genre.
“Hello, Gielinor!
We’re so delighted to finally be able to introduce you to RuneScape: Dragonwilds. An all-new, standalone co-op survival game in the RuneScape universe. An undiscovered continent has emerged from the veil with a promise of adventure.”
What’s Next? Jagex will be sharing more updates and info during Early Access. The first gameplay was shown during a livestream on April 15 and more developer insights will follow.
