If you’re looking for the best upcoming real-time strategy game, then look no further than Tempest Rising, as the release date is just around the corner! This is a brand-new game created by Slipgate Ironworks, and is one of the highly anticipated games in the genre, with many citing the nostalgic feel it gives, bringing them back to some of their favorite strategy games.

The Tempest Rising Release date is April 24, which falls on the same day as the latest Fatal Fury release date. While they’re in completely different genres, both being a part of the biggest games releasing this month, it will interesting to see how both teams will do in the sales, given they are releasing on the same day.
Fans will be pleased to hear that there is an early access option with the Deluxe Edition, giving you a full seven more days of early access, which is a great deal given the prices between the Normal and Deluxe editions are not that much different.

Unfortunately for console players looking to get their hands on this epic strategy game, you’re not going to be able to. Tempest Rising is only releasing on the PC via Steam and other applications. At the time of writing, there are no indications that the game will ever be released onto other platforms, so for now, you’ll just have to get it on the PC. So as you can see, you’re going to need a decent PC if you want to run this strategy game. There are a lot of things that your PC will need to process all at the same time, so make sure your PC is up to the task before making the purchase.

If you love base-building and real-time strategy games, then you’re going to love Tempest Rising. It has all the aspects of a great game, and has that modern twist to it with the factions you can use, the weapons at your disposal, and more. But is it enough to make its way among the best RTS games? We have yet to see.

As said by the developers on the Steam landing page, the game is trying to encourage players to play in whatever way they would like, there is no optimal strategy, both for the single player and the multiplayer experience. Speaking of the single-player campaign, there are two campaigns, meaning that when you are done with one, there are still hundreds of hours worth of content still to explore.
