NCSoft has set their latest addition to the MMORPG genre to release worldwide on September 17th 2024. It will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Steam. The Throne and Liberty Open Beta test starts on July 18th at 10am Pacific Time (or 5PM UTC).
Throne and Liberty is a high fidelity 3D Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, or MMORPG for short. It’s a fantastical world where the players can shapeshift into different animals. Wolves for high speed, birds for high flying travel, sea beasts to go swimming and more. Set in the world of Solisium, players can form guilds and fight alongside huge 30 person raids against the dangers of the planet.
PVP dugneons and castle sieges will keep the PVP and conquest battles fresh and exciting. The combat looks to be high speed and fluid, with a range of classes, from melee to spell caster. A huge range in visual design of bosses can have you fighting hulking skeletal collossus, and large floating eyeballs the next.
Crucially, being on console at launch is fantastic for the potential of Throne and Liberty. Its something that helped Final Fantasy 14‘s second release hit such impressive numbers. The console crowd will be eating well.
The open beta will also be available to console players at launch. At the time of writing, PC players will need a minimum of an i5-7700 CPU, and a GTX 1660 or equivalent.
