Recently, Season 2.5 of Marvel Rivals was released worldwide. The much-anticipated release of Ultron was finally here. Since the announcement of Ultron, there have been various opinions about the new hero within Marvel Rivals. In the latest update, it has been reported that Ultron has received a buff in the game. When Ultron was first shown during the Marvel Rivals announcement video alongside Emma Frost, fans were excited. For many, the character is one of the best super villains within Marvel Rivals. Many wondered about the abilities of the Hero in the game. When it was announced that Ultron would be in the strategist class, many eyebrows were raised.

Before the launch of Season 2.5 worldwide, certain streamers of Marvel Rivals received the update earlier. While testing Ultron, many felt that the hero was way too weak. A significant reason for this was due to his ultimate in the game. His ultimate ability, “Rage of Ultron” summons other Ultrons who help damage the enemies.

During the early access, fans noticed that his ultimate couldn’t be a hero like Groot. The ability did a maximum of just 750 HP.

When Season 2.5 was released worldwide, there was a buff provided to this ability. Now Ultron’s ultimate ability would output a damage of 1,000. At the same time, the energy required to utilize his ultimate has been reduced from 4,000 to 3,400.

These changes have made it much more viable to play Ultron. This was evident with multiple players selecting Ultron in matches on the day of the new updates’ launch. At the same time, this might be due to the Hero being the latest toy in the shop. It will be interesting to see as we reach closer to Season 3 of Marvel Rivals, whether the ultimate AI Robot will be the go-to pick of teams in the Strategist role.
