Once Human: Where to Find Iron Ore
Iron Ore in Once Human is not easy to come across. This is because it becomes an important resource as you progress through the game’s trials and tribulations, allowing you to further upgrade your equipment.
However, it isn’t given to players for free right at the start of the game. Here’s everything you need to know about where to find Iron Ore in Once Human.
Where to Find Iron Ore in Once Human
Completing the tutorial of Once Human will result in you spawning in the Dayton Wetlands. This is the game’s starting area where you’ll really begin to learn the ropes. However, each ore vein in the Dayton Wetlands will only contain Copper Ore, a common early game material.
To find Iron Ore in Once Human, you’ll need to go north of the Dayton Wetlands to the Iron River. It’s certainly aptly named. When entering this region, the Copper Ore veins will be replaced with Iron Ore, which you’re then able to mine for the material. If you’ve come to the Iron River earlier than the story intends, you do need to be careful. It’s a very high-level area with tons of dangerous enemies, and if you’re not careful you can definitely die here if you’re under-leveled.
How to Get Iron Ore in Once Human
If you’ve rushed directly to the Iron River from the start of the game, you might notice that you’re unable to mine Iron Ore. This is because you need to have a Bronze Pickaxe, which can only be obtained by unlocking Bronze Casting from the Memetics menu. You must then craft the Bronze Pickaxe from a workbench at your Once Human territory using the following materials:
- Bronze Ingot (x7)
- Log (x5)
- Hide (x1)
Then, you’re ready to head back out into the world and mine some Iron Ore in Once Human!
