Gamescom 2024 is shaping up to be a monumental event, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world. It’s frequented by hundreds of thousands of visitors, and during the showcases’ Opening Night Live ceremony, millions of people tune in to see the latest announcements and reveals from the world of gaming. More games are yet to be announced, and it has already been confirmed that Activision and Blizzard will be making an appearance. The hope is that there will be a behind-closed-doors look at Black Ops 6, but that’s being borderline classed as a fool’s hope at this point. The game isn’t set to be released until October 25, and showing it in August would be nothing short of a miracle.
This could be the biggest Gamescom event since pre-COVID days. Over the last few years, the showcase has been recovering and gaining traction, and with the latest news from Microsoft, the hype is higher than ever before. Regardless of PlayStation’s decision to skip Gamescom for the fifth year in a row, it should be a show to remember.
