GRID just cut out the middleman to price esports bets straight from the server with GRID Odds

If you have ever lost a live esports wager because your betting app lagged three seconds behind the Twitch stream, you know how painful bad data can be. Esports data powerhouse GRID is officially taking matters into its own hands with the launch of GRID Odds.
Instead of just collecting raw, lightning-fast game data and handing it off to third-party sportsbooks to figure out, GRID is now offering its own fully priced, turn-key odds for CS2, Dota 2, Valorant, and League of Legends, according to a press release.
Basically, they are using their direct connections to the official game servers to build betting lines before anyone else even sees the kill feed.
Micro-Bets and the Sub-200ms Advantage
The secret sauce here comes down to raw speed and direct access. GRID already holds official data deals with heavy hitters like Riot Games, Ubisoft, KRAFTON, ESL FACEIT Group, and BLAST.
Because they pull telemetry directly from game servers with under 200 milliseconds of latency, GRID Odds can open and settle hyper-specific micro-markets that slower data feeds simply cannot touch. We are talking about live, in-round betting on first bloods, bomb plants, clutching odds, and individual player stats like headshot counts.
When over 70% of esports betting now happens live while the match is actively being played, having sub-second data is everything.
The Money Is Surging Into Live Betting and Prediction Markets
GRID’s move into full sportsbook pricing arrives at a time when the esports gambling ecosystem is exploding. According to GRID’s internal estimates, regulated esports wagers hit a staggering €14 billion in 2025 across the big four titles.
At the same time, platforms like Polymarket traded nearly $800 million in esports prediction contracts in a single month earlier this year. Fans do not just want to bet on who lifts the trophy at the end of a weekend anymore. They want real-time, high-speed interaction on every single round.
Veteran Trading Leadership Steering the Ship
To make sure these automated models do not get outsmarted by sharp bettors, GRID is backing up its tech stack with serious industry experience. Co-founder and Chief Business Officer Thomas Warburton is leading the initiative alongside newly appointed VP of Trading Evgeniy Bekker, an eighteen-year iGaming veteran.
Warburton pointed out that offering deep, in-round micro-markets is not just a math flex, it is purely a question of who has direct server access. By turning that exclusive pipeline into fully managed odds, GRID is positioning itself as a one-stop shop for any sportsbook that takes competitive gaming seriously.
