EWC Prize Pool | How big is the Esports World Cup Prize pool?
How much is the EWC Prize Pool? With most games having millions at stake, the total is climbing even higher this year, there’s now a total $70 Million! The money involved is no joke, so there’s a lot to play for in the 2024 Esports World Cup.
The tournament this year will be taking place in Saudi Arabia. A second year for this World Cup that’s tried to position itself as the main event for competitive gaming, and in raw terms of prizes its definitely succeeded. How does the EWC Prize Pool break down across all the games and other awards?

EWC Prize Pool
The tagline for their prize pool announcements has previously been “Life-Changing Prize Money”. And they certainly aren’t wrong. It will have the largest combined prize pool in esports history at over $70 million! Up another 10 from last year’s total.
For those that are able to compete, placing well in this tournament could be where the majority of their career esports earnings may stem from.
The Esports World Cup prize pool starts at $1,000,000 for most of the games, with just a handful of smaller events coming in lower. It goes up to $3,00,000 for games like Dota and Honor of Kings!
Outside of the main prize pools for games, there’s a few other places where there’s cash up for grabs. With prizes in the qualifiers, along with separate awards like MVP, and the Club Championship.
Club Championship
Alongside the competitions for the games, there will also be a Club Competition for participating esports organizations that are a part of the EWC Club Program. It is a cross-game tournament within the EWC. The total prize money pool is a hefty $27,000,000, that will be distributed among the top-ranking teams.
How does it work you ask? In order to qualify for it, a club (organization) must finish in top 8 in at least two competitions. However, winning the Club Championship means that the club must be top 1 in at least one competition. Only participants publicly announced as members of their respective organizations before June 14, 2024, are eligible to earn points for their club. Outside of that, how it works comes down to performing well across the Esports World Cup. We don’t know the entire breakdown for prize distribution yet, but the top team will get $7,000,000.
