G2 is going to expand their partnership with hardware manufacturer AORUS
The Berlin-based gaming organisation G2 is going to be expanding its existing strategic partnership with GIGABYTE’s own gaming brand AORUS. Specifically, this expansion relates to a new product released by AORUS last November – the Z390 Master.
The Z390 Master is a motherboard, and only one of several types of PC hardware specifically aimed at gamers that AORUS manufacturers. This motherboard will be co-branded: In other words, it’ll have both the typical AORUS branding and the G2 brands as well.

The G2 and AORUS Partnership: Old Friends
2020 marks the third year of this ongoing partnership, and it is going to be the most involved one yet – as of this year, G2 is going to have input in the development phase of some of the new AORUS products.
More co-branded products are expected a little down the line this year – although no announcements have been made so far, experts anticipate one or two more launches throughout 2020. As Aorus manufactures graphics cards, laptops, monitors, computer components, peripherals and, of course, motherboards, it’s not clear what sort of collab product we can expect – but we do know that it’ll feature G2’s branding.
As for G2 – they also have deals with Logitech G, another hardware manufacturer. Where Aorus creates mostly internal PC parts, the Logitech G line consists of peripherals – so far, there are no co-branded products in this line-up. Their main focus is, of course, esports though – throughout last year, the organisation made some spectacular moves. One of the biggest moments was definitely their 2nd place in the League of Legends World Championship Final, where they represented all of Europe.
Multiple Teams
In addition to their highly successful LoL team, G2 also maintains teams in several other popular esports – including CS:GO, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, Apex Legends, PUBG, Hearthstone, and Fortnite. As if that wasn’t enough, the organisation also has several streamers and other content creators under their banner – it’s clear that the Germany-based organisation isn’t kidding around.
Competing against the traditionally strong American and Korean teams in many of their chosen esports isn’t easy, yet G2 is one of the top teams in Europe, proving that skilled players can be found any- and everywhere.
For the upcoming 2020 seasons, G2 is once again going to be fielding teams for various esports leagues, and with how well they performed last year, fans have high expectations for the upcoming year.
