Louis Vuitton tasked with designing the LoL Worlds Trophy’s travel case and digital merchandise
The world’s most valuable luxury brand Louis Vuitton (LV) has just announced a multilayer partnership with Riot Games that includes design work for Riot’s League of Legends World Championship physical and digital merchandise. In a new surprising move for the competitive esports scene a company of Louis Vuitton’s caliber will design products for the League of Legends World Championship 2019 similarly to the work they have done for the FIFA World Cup since 2010.

The agreement includes design work for the World Championship 2019 trophy bespoke travel case. Additionally, famed designer and creative director of the house of Louis Vuitton, Nicolas Ghesquière will design the Championship Skins and Capsule Collection for the digital content available to League of Legends players.
While the partnership was announced just today, the press release did not include details or hints about what the designs look like or which League of Legends champions will be featured. What is known now is that the agreement is not a one-time deal and Riot and LV aim to continue the collaboration throughout 2020 and beyond.
The Eiffel Tower will be the host of an exhibition for the bespoke case and summoners cup in the days leading up to the Worlds finals on November 10th at the AccorHotels Arena, Paris, France.
