TALON signs large-scale deal with crypto exchange Flipster
Asian esports organisation TALON Esports (Talon) has announced a large partnership with cryptocurrency company Flipster. The partnership will see the popular esports organisation work closely with Flipster across a wide range of projects, activations, and content.
The first move in the new partnership is to rename the TALON Dota 2 team to Flipster Talon.

Flipster is a fast-growing crypto exchange founded in 2021, and is broadly similar to the more well-known names in the space, such as Binance and Coinbase. In essence, Flipster allows users to trade cryptocurrencies and is notable for its zero trading fees, which are not a given in the industry. The partnership with TALON is the company’s first venture into esports, and interestingly not the first time TALON is partnering with a Web3 company.
In fact, TALON has partnered with blockchain company Yieldly in 2021, followed by an NFT-focused deal with Yesports and a deal with web3 competitive ecosystem Planet Mojo in 2024.
Interestingly, TALON notes several other web3 projects on its website, such as Riftstorm, Stream, XP.GG, Apeiron and Mythos, making it an esports brand with an exceptionally high tally of web3 partnerships and different agreements. The collaboration with Flipster is, however, the largest of all the crypto deals that TALON made.
In addition, TALON has a large roster of non-crypto partners, including Melbet, its sportsbook partner for the Dota 2 team, football club Paris Saint-Germain, Razer, VISA, and others.
Sean Zhang, the CEO of TALON, said:
As innovators in their field, Flipster shares our drive to push boundaries and create richer fan experiences. Together, we’re exploring exciting new ways to bring gaming and crypto culture together.
TALON is one of the largest esports organisations in Asia, known for its League of Legends, Dota 2 and VALORANT rosters. The TALON League of Legends team competes in the LCP, the highest-level league in the Pacific region, while the VALORANT roster competes in the VCT Pacific, which is also the highest-level VALORANT league in the region. The TALON Dota 2 team notably secured third place at the Riyadh Masters 2023, and its Arena of Valor team is a notable contender on the regional level.
