Reckoning’s Dionysus: ‘Building Momentum, Not Afraid of Drop Clashes in BGIS Finals’
Suppose there is one team that has been relatively consistent throughout the tournament, it’s Reckoning Esports. Since the first day, they have ensured a consistent output of points on each map. Following the second day of BGIS, Esports.net had the chance to talk to Dionysus from Reckoning Esports about his team’s journey in the tournament and his thoughts before the final day of the event.
Reckoning Esports ended Day 1 and Day 2 of BGIS in second position. How does it make you feel?

Dionysus: Nothing really, to be honest. It was a good confidence booster for us. Tomorrow, our goal is to build on this momentum and continue our pursuit of the championship.
Before today’s games began, was there anything in particular discussed between the team on how to approach today’s matches?
It honestly wasn’t like this. We didn’t have a strategy, per se. Our main focus was to ensure our basics were in order. We just knew that previously, in the grind we had made a lot of mistakes. So, the goal on the LAN was to work on these mistakes and not repeat them. I feel that on LAN during both day 1 and 2 of BGIS, we have been able to work on them, thus providing us with some extra points as well.
After the matches from Day 1 of BGIS 2025, what were some points that you and the team of Reckoning Esports discussed leading up to today’s matches?
We just looked back at all the mistakes that we made yesterday, due to which we remained in second place. We discussed these topics, and we had set in stone that we wanted to carry forward the momentum from yesterday’s performance. In the first three games of BGIS 2025, we continued to build on where we left off yesterday. However, towards the end, the team made a slight mistake.
While in the eyes of many, you were the most consistent team within the event, were there any mistakes that you noticed your team made today?
It wasn’t a lot. During rotations from one circle to the next, we are getting picked off alone. Like, there are moments where a teammate is isolated and getting knocked out by the enemies. Like one could say, the timing between the players wasn’t matching in some moments.
As Reckoning Esports and Godlike Esports are in first and second spot, do you suspect Godlike Esport to initiate some drop clashes with your team, as the difference between the two teams is just a point?
I mean, 64 players are taking part in the event, and a total of 16 teams. There is no fear of any team. Otherwise, if we have not decided on a plan to implement on the final day, we will focus on executing it. If we can perform it well, then we will end the trophy with an event in our hands. If we have to face off against other teams in a gun fight, then we are ready to face off and show what we are capable of.
