Kalshi has expanded its operating hours to 24/7, which is big news for esports fans who love to stay up late.
On August 4, 2025, betting operator Kalshi announced through its official social media that the bookie will now operate on a 24/7 schedule. This is a major change from its previous schedule of 8 am to 3 am ET. This is likely to affect the international market the most, as some global users’ normal trading hours may have fallen into that window. Esports fans may have the most to gain, as tournaments can often take place during odd hours. The new hours will go into effect on August 7, 2025.
Kalshi announced the change via its official Discord. Head of operations Noah Sternig posted about the change late on August 4. He noted that there will still be a few hours of downtime for site maintenance every Thursday.

In addition to esports tournament bets, Kalshi offers a variety of prediction markets for the casual gaming audience.
The bookie currently offers outright bets for a variety of esports tournaments, including Worlds 2025 and the Esports World Cup. Kalshi’s unique betting system offers lines for less common esports events, such as Teamfight Tactics. As with other betting sites, players can predict the outcome of esports events with odds already lined up for it.
In addition to esports outrights, Kalshi users can also bet on a variety of casual gaming situations. For example, the site is currently taking bets on the release price of Grand Theft Auto 6. This appeals to casual gaming fans who may only watch the biggest esports events of the year while enjoying games on their own time.
Kalshi’s main specialty remains betting on social and political issues. With the switch to 24/7 availability, Kalshi users will be able to bet on esports tournaments, video game prices, and political elections around the clock.
