100 Thieves Blast “Horrible” Practice Ahead of LoL Worlds 2025
Worlds 2025 will be the last time 100 Thieves is competing in League of Legends in the foreseeable future, and it’s off to an abysmal start according to their support player Bill “Eyla” Nguyen.
With Worlds taking place in China this year, Western teams had to make quite the trip to be there in person to compete. Teams will often travel there a week or two ahead of time if they can to adjust to the time zone change and practice against other teams at the event.

100 Thieves, meanwhile, are still missing a player and had trouble getting there. Everything comes down to this for the legacy LCS org to end on a high note, and things are already looking bleak.
100 Thieves’ Last Run at Worlds May be Short One
League of Legends is no stranger to Cinderella runs from underdog teams that people counted out from the get-go. A bad start doesn’t necessarily mean a bad ending. That said, 100 Thieves aren’t exactly set up for success going into Worlds 2025.
According to an interview conducted by NAmen’s Arsh Goyal, 100 Thieves aren’t exactly optimistic going into the tournament. Eyla didn’t give exact details on how scrims have gone, but they’re still missing their jungler and haven’t been able to get any good practice in against top teams by his account.
“[Practice has been] horrible, to be honest. I don’t think our Worlds trip has been handled well. There have been a lot of problems,” Eyla claimed. “We still didn’t have River with us in China — he’s been scrimming from Korea — and it’s been pretty bad.”
Considering 100 Thieves will exit League of Legends at the end of their 2025 run and weren’t expected to qualify for Worlds 2025 in the first place, it isn’t a huge surprise that their trip wasn’t well planned. However, it’s clear the players aren’t happy.
To make matters worse, Worlds is going straight to the Swiss Stage after a Play-Ins match between T1 and Invictus Gaming, meaning 100 Thieves won’t have any time to ease themselves into fighting top teams. If they end up getting put up against a highly-ranked team from China or South Korea on day 1, they’ll have to come out swinging.

But, no matter how things go, 100T already made it further than anyone expected, considering they were one of the worst teams in NA up until they turned things up for the playoffs.
For 2026, Sentinels will be taking 100 Thieves’ spot in the LCS. Their roster has yet to be announced, so this could be an opportunity for the current 100T roster to prove they deserve a spot in the LCS.
Disguised could have been on the chopping block as well, but they managed to win the LTA 2026 promotion tournament and keep their LCS spot with a win over Luminosity.
