Whenever you think of a carry top lane champion, chances are Fiora is one of the first that comes to mind. Her duelist-focused playstyle and ability to outplay the opponent with her mobility are what make her so special. In the right hands, she can become an incredibly annoying champion to play against. Given that Fiora is a champion who wants to trade face-to-face with the enemy, Darius is one of the champions who can beat her, especially early on. His damage is much higher early on, and he has the ability to punish her in case of a misstep. Later on the matchup evens out, but you should be expected to have a lead once you get to the mid game. If you’re looking for something more tanky, there is nothing better than Malphite. While you could argue Fiora has true damage on her kit thanks to the passive, Malphite beats Fiora until around the third item. He can freely poke her during the laning phase and commit to a kill when she’s low. She can be troublesome in the side lane, but your goal is to just neutralize her at that point.
Considering his current state in the meta, Renekton is strong enough to be treated as a Darius alternative. Similar to the Noxian champion, Renekton has the upper hand in the first minutes of the lane as he boasts better damage and sustain. You need to learn how to bait Fiora’s parry and time your W at the right times: if she cannot block it, you are expected to win most of the trades. It’s imperative you get a lead in this matchup: her scaling will prevail later on.
Picking Ornn is the worst choice you could make when facing Fiora. She can basically toy with you from minute one: there is no way you can win this lane unless she makes several mistakes. And even if you happen to gain a lead, she will beat you after two items. Avoid this at all costs.

Beefy top lane tanks do not perform well against Fiora and just like Ornn, Sion is also in that category. The good thing about Sion is that the champion has better wave clearing thanks to his Q and scales well thanks to the W passive. But out of 10 games, Sion might win one or two lanes at maximum. A strong Fiora player will win in most scenarios.

As a Garen player, you need to force her into using the ability before casting the ultimate, or else you won’t be able to beat her. On the other hand, she doesn’t have much kill threat given that you have incredible health regeneration from the passive.
