Heimerdinger has always been a terrorizing presence in solo queue. While he’s not a popular champion, Heimerdinger mains can turn into the worst nightmare by making the laning phase frustrating. In this list, we will be going over the best Rengar counters to play this season, hoping it helps you increase your win rate against the champion.

Dr. Mundo has an easy time against Heimerdinger due to his high sustain and ability to farm from afar with his Q. The tankier he becomes, the harder it will be for the enemy to manage him, to the point where he won’t be able to tickle him anymore.
If you like carrying games, then Kayle is probably the right option for you. While she won’t make you win the laning phase against Heimerdinger, she will become stronger and stronger the more levels she gains. The toughest part is surviving until level six: once you have the ranged form, all you have to do is farm safely and depush as quickly as possible.

In case you’re not a Kayle fan, Nasus can be a fun secondary choice. All you have to do is constantly farm stacks under the turret by killing minions and reach a point where you can kill Heimerdinger by running toward him and hitting him with a few Qs. It can be boring at first but it will be highly satisfying later.
Unlike Nasus, Illaoi requires the enemy to be close to her in order to maximize her value. Heimerdinger is by design the opposite of that, making most of Illaoi’s kit useless against him. Don’t ever pick her into him: it’s handing the enemy a free win basically.
Malphite is also another champion who struggles quite heavily against Heimerdinger due to his low range and lack of magic resistance on his kit. You can play to survive but the chances of winning this matchup are slim.

As a melee champion, Aatrox is one of the champions that typically struggles against Heimerdinger in Summoner’s Rift, especially during the laning phase. The mage will likely have pushing priority throughout the laning phase and there are few chances for you to kill him. Try to manage the lane by not bleeding out too much disadvantage and try to help the team through skirmishes and teamfights.
