Best Jinx counters in LoL

After being one of the center pieces for the hit Netflix series Arcane, Jinx continued to showcase why she is one of the most popular champions in League of Legends. She is a force to be reckoned with, both on the television screen and on Summoners Rift. She has a very unique kit compared to other ADCs, but that’s not why she is one of the strongest.

In the current meta, she still ranks amongst the best, and with the right support, you’ll slice through the enemies like a hot knife through butter. It’s understandable to struggle against her in lane, she is one of the stronger picks, but there are ways of stopping her. Stay tuned as we walk you through the five best counters for Jinx in League of Legends. After becoming the protagonist of the

Twitch is one of those annoying champions that you simply can’t deal with at most stages of the game. There isn’t a time when a player can feel comfortable if Twitch has not been on their screen. He literally can pop out of anywhere, which is why it’s very difficult for Jinx to play into Twitch. Jinx’s abilities rely on seeing the enemy, being able to immobilize what it right in front of you.

Twitch, however, can bypass these abilities with his Q, which allows him to go invisible, stepping around the Jinx trap and then opening fire. In the late-game Twitch scales incredibly well, and in a straight-up one-versus-one, Twitch is going to win out on that trade even if he is down on items.

Kog’Maw

If you’re looking for more sustained damage and not a champion whose only role is to burst, then you should take a look at Kog’Maw as a viable counter to Jinx. Jinx has a lot of range, and it can be difficult to deal with, especially in the late game when she has RFC in her back pocket. This is why Kog’Maw is a very strong pick because he has good sustain and can match the range of Jinx in the late game.

Kog’Maw can also poke from a very far distance, and take Jinx out of the fight before it’s even begun. It’s a nightmare for Jinx to play against Kog’Maw, who is raining down artillery. And up close, Kog is still going to win as his attack speed and on-hit damage will just melt through Jinx’s defences like there’s no tomorrow. He is a safer version of Jinx and can beat her at every stage of the game. Even in the laning phase, he has pretty good wave clear.

Nilah

Nilah is one of the picks that you don’t see very often, but a good Nilah is an absolute game changer, and a very strong counter to Jinx. She is one of the most picked champions against the Arcane star, and we can see why. Jinx doesn’t have good mobility, and while her passive does speed her up, it relies on a kill or an assist to get that rolling. With Nilah, she preys on the low mobility champions and can burst them down before they get a chance to react.

She can also block one of Jinx’s skill shots, which is a game-changer in the fight. Because she can deny a crucial ability that would often see Jinx winning the fight, but once that is out of the way, it’s Nilah’s turn to have some fun. Nilah also heals up an insane amount, as she prioritises healing items that combine well with her kit.

Swain

If you’re looking for that pick to get you through the lane, and not really have to worry about Jinx at all, then go for Swain. This is an amazing pick and one that I would recommend picking up if you want to go away from the traditional ADCs. This is a great champion that preys on the vulnerability of the low mobility champions, Jinx included.

Swain’s E is pretty oppressive because it has a rather large hitbox, and any champion hit by it will be pulled. Swain also has very good poke, and can deal with any of the damage that Jinx throws at him. Even if he were to get caught, Swain’s ultimate can sustain a 2v1 fight, and with Jinx being a squishy ADC, you’re going to feel the benefits of picking an AP champion that can sustain while also doing a ton of damage.

Miss Fortune

Miss Fortune has been a historical counter to Jinx throughout the years in League of Legends. And while she may not be one of the strongest ADC’s in the game anymore, she is still a very good option into Jinx. Miss Fortune is a mobile champion to some degree, her passive allows her to move quicker than the average bottom laner, and with her W she can even quicker while having some added attack speed.

If you are good with your clicks, you can dodge the Jinx abilities even if you have to use your W just to be sure. Your E is a great zoning tool as well, because with low mana, Jinx will really struggle to play through the lane, as her attack speed varies depending on the amount of auto attacks she is doing.

Then, when it comes to the ultimates, Miss Fortune has one of the best game-changing ults in League of Legends. Bullet Time shreds through any enemy that is within close proximity. If Jinx gets caught in it, you can consider toasted. MF is a lane bully ADC, and while Jinx can hold her own, he’s not going to be as dominant as she could be against other ADCs. If I were going to pick an ADC to go up against Jinx, I would choose Miss Fortune.
