Evelynn counters in LoL – the top three picks

Twitch – scaling counter

Even though Twitch doesn’t win against Miss Fortune early on considering his weak early game, the rat becomes incredibly strong later in the game. Thanks to his ultimate and long-range, he can shut down Miss Fortune from afar before she can even fight back. As long as Twitch can get into the right position and has enough items to deal damage, Miss Fortune can only succumb to his power.

Jhin – can’t touch him

If Miss Fortune is known for her burst combos, then what happens when she can’t land any of that damage? This is what happens in most games when facing Jhin. Thanks to his long-range spells, Jhin will rarely put himself into a dangerous position to finish off his enemies. It’s also easy for him to hit Miss Fortune when casting Bullet Time, increasing the chances to kill her.

Yasuo – blocking everything

If Jhin was the long-range answer, then Yasuo is the short-range one. While he’s not a popular ADC pick, he is probably one of the best champions at neutralizing Miss Fortune. As long as he can land a well-placed wind wall, the enemy’s damage will be reduced to zero. He’s also quite strong in the laning phase as he can dash through the minions to trade with the enemy. If you’re good at the champion, he can be a handy pick.

Worst Miss Fortune counters

Kog’ Maw – tough matchup

One of the main reasons why you pick Miss Fortune is to take advantage of her great harass during the early game. For a weak early-game champion like Kog’Maw, her Q poke can be troublesome. On top of that, Kog’Maw doesn’t have much range and the chances of him escaping or surviving Miss Fortune’s ultimate during a fight are usually low. And for this reason, it’s best not to pick him against her.

Kalista – just avoid it

Even though Kalista is a mobile champion, she requires some time to kite back enemies and dash left and right. Against Miss Fortune’s burst damage combos, the chances of her surviving are very slim. On top of that, MF can slow Kalista down with her E, further weakening one of Kalista’s main strengths.

How do you counter Miss Fortune with the items?

When going up against Miss Fortune, it’s recommended to stack a mix of armor and HP. Below is a list of items to build you should consider, based on the class of champion you’re playing:

  • Bruisers: Randuin’s Omen, Sterak’s Gage, Death Dance
  • AD assassins: Guardian’s Angel
  • ADC champions: Guardian’s Angel
  • AP champions: Zhonya’s Hourglass
  • Tanks: Randuin’s Omen, Dead Man’s Plate

What Champion counters Miss Fortune?

The three best counters are Yasuo, Twitch, and Jhin. Other strong counters are Nilah, Caitlyn, and Ashe.

Does Ezreal counter Miss Fortune?

Even though Ezreal has the Arcane Shift to dash away from potential danger, Miss Fortune’s burst damage can be a big issue for Ezreal to deal with. On top of that, she has enough movement speed to chase after the enemy. Overall, Ezreal doesn’t counter Miss Fortune and it’s more so the other way round.
