Nautilus has been a staple pick for years in both pro play and solo queue. As long as he’s not super weak, his ability to pick enemies and shut one target down is always a valuable asset for most team compositions. In this list, we will be going over the best Nautilus counters to play this season, hoping it helps you win more games against him.

Taric is the best at countering Nautilus thanks to his ability to peel himself or his ally. Whether it’s using the stun or the ultimate, he can block off most of Nautilus’ engage attempts. Taric is also tankier in most scenarios, allowing him to survive for longer.
If you’re not particular proficient at Taric, you can also go for Rell as an alternative. While she doesn’t provide the same level of peeling power, she can still use her crowd controls defensively to stop Nautilus from hitting his combos.

Alistar is the last recommended counter on the list. Not only can he knock up or away Nautilus every time he tries to hook someone but Alistar can also tank most of the incoming crowd controls by acting as a bodyguard. He has the ultimate to remove all crowd controls anyway, allowing him to cast his own abilities right after.
Yuumi is often a bad matchup into all hook champions and Nautilus is no exception. If she gets caught while she’s attached to an ally, chances are both her ally and herself will be dead. Nautilus also has more crowd control than most hook champions, making it even harder.
Lulu is also quite squishy and can be easily shut down with one good combo rotation. As Nautilus, you won’t usually use the ultimate to kill her but if her positioning is off, it can be a great way to gain a number advantage at the start of a fight.
