Worlds 2024 Top Laners – Power Rankings
5. Breathe
For those who haven’t been able to follow the LPL as much, don’t sleep on Breathe when the Swiss stage kicks off. The guy has been one of the strongest top laners throughout the last two seasons, and if it wasn’t for the mid-season swap with Bin last season, Breathe would’ve probably been at Worlds last year already.
He can play almost anything and shines particularly when it comes to handling risky matchups. Compared to Bin, he has probably a little less carry potential but he makes it up with a solid laning phase and absorbing pressure.
4. Zeus
Zeus has the potential of being the no.1 top laner in the world as he has shown several times throughout the past few years but considering how he and T1 performed throughout the Summer, we have to drop him down the rankings. The main reason is his tendency to be over-aggressive a few times which can put the team on the backfoot, especially since the team relies on him to work out well. Nonetheless, if he shows up on form at Worlds, I have no doubts he will be an extremely valuable asset to T1.

3. Doran
When it comes to consistency, Doran is your guy. While he’s not the flashiest top laner or always on the lookout for the outplay and solo action, Doran is the consistent presence on your team that will make a difference later in the key decisive moments. And the guy has greatly increased his ability to play strong side as well, which has been an important characteristic in the last two years for a top laner. We’ll see whether he can make a further step up at the World Championship.
2. Bin
Bin is not only known for his personality outside of game, but he’s always able to back it up with actions in the game as well. While he wasn’t able to showcase much of his champion pool during playoffs, we can be sure champions like Jax and Camille might be up his sleeve later in the tournament. He’s not as aggressive as he used to be last season but you can be sure he has one of the best laning phases in the world. And when it comes to 1v1s, there are only a few who can match him.
1. Kiin
The number one on our list is still Kiin. While you could agree Bin and Doran can shine more than him depending on the meta, I still think Kiin is the most complete top laner in the world. It doesn’t matter what kind of champion or role he has to fill inside the team, you can be sure he will get the job done. He has been on weakside duty in Gen.G most of the time, which has probably done him dirty sometimes: we’ll see whether he will be unleashed later in the tournament.
