BLG LoL Team Under Fire After Allegedly Being Spotted in Illegal Gambling Den
After dropping out of LoL Worlds 2025 much earlier than expected, a number of Bilibili Gaming’s League of Legends team was allegedly spotted at an illegal gambling den in China with escorts at their side.
In mainland China, both gambling and escort services are not only illegal but also seen as culturally taboo. And, while it’s common for people in China to travel to a place like Macau if they want to do some gambling, there are also “karaoke bars” that operate in a legal grey area for people looking for those services.
Typically, these venues will force you to hand over your cell phone at the door so that no one gets recorded doing anything that’d get them in trouble. However, a post made on Chinese social media forum Tieba allegedly showed two videos of BLG members playing Texas Hold ‘em at one of these bars while flanked by escorts.
This video has since gone viral and is brewing into a massive scandal on Chinese social media.

Videos Allegedly Expose BLG for Illegal Gambling
Despite going into Worlds 2025 as the first seed from the LPL and winning the Split 3 grand finals just a month before Worlds, BLG failed when it mattered most and failed to qualify past the Swiss Stage with a 2-3 record, with their losses to 100 Thieves and even G2 being pivotal moments in their failed run.
At this point, the season is over for BLG. Every team approaches this period differently, depending on whether they plan to stick together, but BLG allegedly had a night out on the town that ended with them showing up at one of these “karaoke bars.”
A few short videos filmed by someone allegedly hiding their phone and filming them in secret were posted. BLG fans in China have put that footage next to pictures posted on social media of the bar self-promoting to try and figure out where the players went.

The only player not spotted in the leaked images, and thus presumed not to have taken part in the alleged conduct, is Zhuo “Knight” Ding.
This footage has since spread across multiple social media platforms in China. Discussion among fans about the ethics of the situation led to it quickly going viral and spreading beyond China to other platforms, including X.
And, no matter how the fans feel, the fact is that both gambling and escort services are illegal in China. The country has some of the strictest anti-gambling laws in the world, though penalties for participants are relatively light.
The reputation hit is a much larger concern for the players than the relatively small fine they’d receive if they were proven guilty of what they’re being accused of.
Neither BLG nor any of the individual players have responded to the allegations at the time of writing.
