Caedrel Confirms Los Ratones to Shut Down After LEC Versus Disappointment
Marc “Caedrel” Lamont has announced that he is shutting down his League of Legends team, Los Ratones, after the team failed to qualify for the LEC Versus playoffs.
In an announcement made on his YouTube channel, Caedrel said: “I’ll cut to the chase… Los Ratones will be shutting down. That’s it—that’s the end of the journey.”
Los Ratones Disband
He continued: “A lot of feelings and emotions have been discussed and gone through over the last few days, but now that I’m home, this was something that was going to happen regardless. It was probably going to happen at the end of last year if we were not given this opportunity in the LEC. It is something that the boys and I are obviously grateful for. But it started with that group, and it ends with that group.”
The team officially disbanded after there was no more room for them in Europe, following their victories in several EU Masters tournaments in 2025. With franchising slots limited in the LEC, the team was unable to officially join as a full-fledged partner without paying the franchising fee or entering into a business deal with another stakeholder already in the LEC.
“The main reason we started this is we were like, let’s make a streamer team and let’s see how far we can go. And that quickly became quite tryhard. And we saw how far we could go; we got ninth in the LEC.”
What’s Next for the Roster?

With no more room to progress, it marks a “bittersweet end” to the team’s run. It is currently unclear what the other players on the team will do.
TheBaus already announced that he is personally done with the Los Ratones project and is going back to streaming, prior to the official disbanding of Los Ratones as an organization. It is unclear what Velja, Nemesis, Crownie and Rekkles will do.
Perhaps they, too, look to stream or join other teams already in the LEC who may need roster moves depending on results.
