Dhokla to Make Unlikely LCS Return in 2026
Niship “Dhokla” Doshi not finding a team in the off-season ahead of 2026, was a baffling decision for LCS fans, but that could be set to change.
Considering how essential he was to 100 Thieves making it to Worlds for their last split ever. Fortunately, he’s coming back, but it’s not under the best of circumstances.
LYON is having visa issues with their team, particularly top laner Frankie “Zamudo” Lin. This young player’s career has been plagued by visa problems to the point where he was barely able to compete in 2025.
And, despite LYON’s best efforts, they still haven’t been able to get his green card. So, despite declining any LCS offers he received before the season, Dhokla’s already back in LA and hitting the rift once again as a League of Legends pro.
While neither the team or Dhokla have officially confirmed that he’s temporarily joining the team, the signs here are pretty obvious.

Dhokla Starts For LYON Due to Zamudo Visa Issues
News of Zamudo’s unfortunate visa situation came from Carlos “Biblos” Gibran, LYON’s COO and Founder. And, though he can’t play for the team right now, they’re still committed to keeping him signed and getting him on stage as soon as possible.
“Despite all the efforts that we’ve done, with so much time, with esports specialized agencies, and the monetary investment we’ve made to do this process the right way, we’ve received negative answers about Zamudo’s USA visa,” he said.
“The reason the government gives us is that his curriculum is not enough to compete in the USA as a pro athlete. Which I think is very weird considering he had a scholarship in a USA university, he was the MVP, he excelled that year in Challengers.”
In the same video, Biblos explained that their replacement for Zamudo was already in LA practicing with the team ahead of the LCS opening week, and he described their stand-in as follows:
“He’s a very experienced player, he’s a player I think our followers and fans are going to be very happy he’s joining the team. I think he’s one of the best top laners of 2025.”
Right before Biblos’ announcement, Dhokla posted a cryptic video saying, “The lion has successfully navigated LAX.” Zamudo also replied to this video with a lion emoji. So, while his joining LYON isn’t yet official, it’s not hard to connect the dots here.
As for how long Dhokla will be on the team, that’s uncertain. However, for fans of this player who are sad to see him compete for such a short time in 2025, at least he has a team for 2026.
Dhokla has a ton of experience dealing with less than ideal practice conditions, so he may be the best man for the job. LYON isn’t in the best position going into the first split of the year, but don’t count them out, either.
