Hanwha Life Esports Target Gumayusi For LoL Worlds-Winning Super Team
It didn’t take long after Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong’s exit from T1‘s World Championship roster for leaks to come out about where he’d be heading next. Within hours, reports were widely circulating that he is likely heading to Hanwha Life Esports.
HLE are reportedly planning to reunite him with Choi “Zeus” Woo-je and build a roster that can knock T1 off their pedestal and have a real shot at winning LoL Worlds 2026.

Hanwha Life Esports is not messing around in this off-season. They’re spending big and moving fast on players.
Despite Park “Viper” Do-hyeon cooking up some seriously impressive 1v5 performances at Worlds 2025, they didn’t hesitate to replace him with Gumayusi according to Sheep Esports. They’re reportedly making a “massive offer” for the former T1 superstar ADC.
He’s not the only big name set to go over to the team, either. While there hasn’t been a verbal agreement, there’s a very good chance they’ll sign Kim “Canyon” Geon Bu as well. HLE have also made him a very generous offer to join the team, one that other teams will have a hard time matching.
If everything falls into place like it’s rumored to, Hanwha Life Esports is doing everything in their power to ensure they win Worlds next year.
HLE Also Want Canyon for LCK Super Team

T1 has won Worlds 3 times in a row now. And, while some fans have loved seeing Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok build his legacy and continue to rack up international titles, others are tired of seeing the same teams win over and over again.
But, if you, as a viewer, are tired of the same team winning over and over again, imagine how the teams that spent millions to try and get at that title feel. HLE seems to have had enough and are willing to put their wallets on the line to try and change history.
With how the off-season is going, Hanwha Life Esports’ team will look like this in 2026:
- Top: Choi “Zeus” Woo-je
- Jungle: Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu
- Mid: Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo
- ADC: Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong
- Support: Yoo “Delight” Hwan-joong
Out of all these players, only Delight hasn’t won a world title. It’s a team that’s about as stacked as you can get without putting Faker himself on the roster, with HLE likely spending millions on this team – and they may spend even more to try and find a mid laner better than Zeka.
The entire LCK off-season rides on the deal for these two free agents, with every team that’s looking to spend big waiting to see whether or not they can get their hands on them or if HLE’s offer is simply too big to be turned down.
