Having toxic teammates in League of Legends is never a fun experience. No player should endure verbal abuse from their teammates when they only want to play to have fun and climb the LoL ranks.

Even if a player is not directly toxic to you, it’s your responsibility to help keep your League of Legends community as safe as possible.

Player penalized after reporting

There are a couple of ways that you can report a player in League of Legends.

1. Reporting a player after the game

This is the most common method of reporting a player in League of Legends. Although you can skip the match conclusion screen altogether, you’ll want to access it if you wish to report a player the second your match ends.

Once you’re greeted with the scoreboard, small icons will be next to each player’s name.
Go to the player you wish to report and click on the exclamation mark(!).
From there, you can the reasons you want to report the player. While optional, it helps Riot if you give additional information at the bottom of the report window.

You don’t have to wait until the game is over to report a player. Riot has now included this cool feature that allows you to live report a player during a match in League of Legends. This report can be updated during the game if you deem they have committed more offenses since your first report.

3. Reporting a player during champion select

Not only can you report a player while the game is ongoing, but you can also report a player before it even starts. Players can no longer get away with being toxic in the champion select screen.
