Is Gwen AP or AD League of Legends champion?

Gwen is the ultimate AP scaling champion in the Top Lane, and you do not want to mess with her in the side lane. She will snip you down (pun intended) with ease if you are pushed up in the lane, having a lot of quick burst damage that will catch you off-guard.

Gwen is an AP Top Lane champion, who relies on Magic Damage and Attack Speed to cut down her opponents. As mentioned before, she is one of the stronger Top Lane picks right now in League of Legends, making her way to A-tier in our LoL tier list.

With the Conqueror Rune fully stacked, Gwen is a force to be reckoned with. You can get off quick auto-attacks and run down your opponent before they can do anything. Riftmaker and Nashor’s Tooth are two of her key items. Gwen’s auto attacks benefit from the on-hit damage and the attack speed from Nashor’s tooth.

Here is the rundown of Gwen’s abilities:

Thousand Cuts (Passive): Gwen’s basic attacks are on-hit. Q and R do bonus Magic Damage equal to 1% of the target’s maximum health.

Snip Snip! (Q): Passive: Basic attacks generate a stack of “Snippy”, which stacks up to four times. Gwen snips her scissors at least twice in a cone in the targeted direction. This ability does Magic Damage per snip.

Hallowed Mist (W): Gwen summons a Hallowed Mist in her current position but can be re-casted to follow her location. While in the Mist, Gwen is untargettable by enemies outside of it, and also gains bonus Armor and Magic Resistance.

Skip ‘n Slash (E): Gwen does a small dash in the targeted direction. Once she dashes, her basic attacks are empowered within the next 4 seconds to deal with bonus Magic Damage, bonus Attack Speed, and an added auto-attack range.

Needlework (Ultimate): Gwen fires her needles in the targeted direction, dealing damage to enemies hit, while also slowing them down. Needlework can be re-casted twice within a six-second window.
