LCS Summer 2024 – 8 teams, 6 to playoffs
After a great LCS Spring Split, which saw Team Liquid reign victorious over FlyQuest, and MSI where TL finished in the top six, the NA teams will be resuming LoL action next month with the Summer split.
2024 has marked a new start for the LCS, as the number of teams was reduced to eight following the departure of Evil Geniuses and Golden Guardians. Despite that, viewership numbers have gone up thanks to the implementation of live patch matches. In the summer, the LCS is looking to make further changes, bringing back the Bo3 format commonly used by the Eastern regions (LPL and LCK).
The schedule will remain the same despite the format change
Regardless of the format change, the schedule for the 2024 LCS Summer Split should be similar to the one used in Spring. The split will officially start on Saturday, June 15. The end date is still not confirmed as there might be a two-week break during the split to accommodate for the 2024 Esports World Cup, which is expected to take place in early July. Below you can find the schedule for the LCS Summer 2024.

The best teams will qualify for the Championship
The Summer Split will decide which six teams will head to the LCS Championship, the playoff bracket that will determine the three teams representing the region at Worlds. The first two will get direct access to the Main Event while the third-place team will have to go through the play-in stage.
