Z Tier - Naafiri, Karthus, Nocturne

These are the best champions to play in the patch. Naafiri is the easiest champion to play among the three due to her straightforward kit and ability to punish squishy targets.

Nocturne is considered a great answer into Karthus thanks to the spell shield and his ability to impact the map with his ultimate. The pick works best in the lower ends of the ranked ladder, where there are more opportunities to punish enemies.

Karthus is probably the best carry champion, but also the hardest one to succeed with. He has the fastest jungle clear among the three and the highest damage output, but he’s also quite unforgiving if you’re not able to play to his strengths

S Tier - Gwen, Hecarim, Ivern, Jarvan IV, Talon

Among the S-Tier champions, the best ones to carry games are Gwen and Hecarim. The first, however, is likely to be banned considering she can be flexed between top and jungle.

Hecarim is the AD version of Karthus in terms of power farming and he can get good ganks in the early game thanks to his mobility. Talon is strong if you have a tendency to invade the enemy jungler and punish during specific timers.

Jarvan and Ivern, on the other hand, play more around the teams and you’re looking to spam gank lanes at the cost of your own resources. Play these two champions if you have big carries on your team and you want to play around them.

A Tier - Lee Sin, Viego, Diana, Kayn, Lillia, Nidalee, Sejuani, Skarner, Taliyah, Volibear

I think most of the A-tier champions work well in the meta if you have high proficiency in the champion. Most of them are great carries like Veigo, Lillia, Diana, Kayn: you just need to know how to play around your strengths and weaknesses consistently. In most scenarios, you’re looking to power farm and collect resources for yourself.

Champions like Lee Sin, Skarner, and Volibear, on the other hand, can be a bit more flexible depending on how the early game goes. If you have strong early games, build items to spike in the mid game to carry the teamfights; otherwise, stick to more utility-based build paths. Volibear can be built both tank, AP, or AD, making him a jack of all trades in most games.

B Tier - Brand, Briar, Dr. Mundom Elise, Fiddlesticks, Jax, Master Yi, Pantheon, Vi, Udyr, Warwick, Xin Zhao, Zyra, Zed

Think most of these champions can still work in the meta, although they are a lot more dependent on proficiency and overall role in the team composition.

Champions like Xin Zhao and Vi are evergreen champions that can work in most team compositions while Brand, Zyra, Fiddlesticks, and Elise are good options if you need magic damage output. Warwick and Pantheon are good for early game ganking. Depending on where you are in the LoL ranking system, you will find more or less success with specific champions like Master Yi and Briar.

C Tier - Bel'Veth, Ekko, Evelynn, Gragas, Graves, Kindred, Kha'Zix, Maokai, Nunu & Willump, Sylas, Wukong, Zac

These champions are currently not in a great spot and I would avoid picking them most of the time as there are often better options. The exception could be champions like Gragas and Zac, which offer lots of utility thanks to the crowd controls in their kits.

D Tier - Rammus, Olaf, Rek'Sai, Rengar, Shyvana, Trundle, Darius

The champions in this tier are weak and out of meta. These can still have some value as counters, but they are usually much stronger alternatives. You won’t get much value by picking them unless you want to just have some fun playing a specific champion.
